A simple QOTD question: Are non admins aloud to put quotes into the QOTD line up if they have 10 votes? Ugluk: Destroyer of RedlinksWhine Here 01:46, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't see why not. As long as people take them straight from the QOTD page and don't make them up randomly (Don't laugh, it's happened), I have no problem with it. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 02:21, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Happened twice. Turned out to be new arrivals not familiar with the rules, not malicious. Fortunately. Enochf 02:48, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Unfortunately, it has happened a lot more than twice. I have been thinking about creating a warning template to place at the top of each page, but I just haven't had the time lately… As for the rules about when the quotes are allowed to go in the queue, see Forum:QOTD vote counting and timeouts. The quote actually has to have a total vote count tally of +10 as opposed to just 10 votes total.–SentryTalk 08:26, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
