Got a question regarding sourcing information that comes straight from the actors on the screen. How do we do it?
In particular here's the situation, there's an entry for the Unidentified snowspeeder pilot (Star Tours) that we're trying to update the "Behind the Scenes" section for. Namely, adding a credit for the actor seen on screen. Here's what we'd like to add ...
"In the Hoth visit, the snowspeeder pilot appearing on the sidescreen is played by Rob "Snowman" Howes, a member of the Rebel Legion's Sunrider Base, and their pilot group, Hazard Squadron. Initially asked to provide the costume for the shoot, when the actor intended for the suit didn't work out, Mr. Howes was asked to screen test and eventually fill the role."
This information was provided directly from Mr. Howes and we're trying to update it for him to show the correct info.
So again, is first-hand information enough of a source? And how would we notate it?
Any advice on this matter would be appreciated. I do have a pic of Mr. Howes on-screen, just not sure how to post here since I can't link to photobucket.
The most important thing is that information be from a reliable, verifiable, and (ideally) official source. If you could link to a webpage or cite some print publication identifying Mr. Howes, that would help. Ideally, this would be an official Lucasfilm or Disney source, but if there's something on the Rebel Legion's webpage or a well-researched, reliable Star Tours fan page, that might be enough to identify him as the actor (and for that matter, give him a Wookieepedia article.) Once there's enough information to verify that he's the actor, the image can be uploaded according to the Wookieepedia:Images policy. As for the behind-the-scenes casting info, the same rules would apply. —Silly Dan(talk) 20:18, July 26, 2013 (UTC)
