Greetings. While I was attempting to clean up the Category:Technology, I noticed that the organization of articles into categories has been done quite messily. I have seen categories like Category:Technology, Category:Drugs and medicine, and Category:Products that are extremely overpopulated with a vast array of articles. These categories seem to be the dumping place for articles that no one knows where they should go. I am sure there are a great deal more, but these are prime examples. I do not know what to do with the technology category that will not merely move the problem to a new location.
That is why I have posted this thread here. This thread is a place for Wookieepedians to express their views on how a new categorization system should be set up. If you disagree with revamping the categories you may also place your views on this thread.--Exiledjedi 18:09, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
I wouldn't say Category:Products is overpopulated; there are only 59 pages in that category. The subcategories are a different thing. They are the backbone of the categorization system. If you want to clean the mess, create more subcats. 1358(Talk) 18:29, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for explaining this to me. I think I understand it better now.--Exiledjedi 22:06, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
