I know the Manual of Style states that Sources section goes under the Behind the scenes section, but what happens when there is a specific reference in the article (along with the general sources)?

In Wookieepedia and Wikipedia, I've seen it used in several different ways:

  1. Notes
  2. References

  1. Notes
  2. Sources

  1. References
  2. Sources

  1. References
    1. Genereal references

There doesn't seem to be a standard for this in Wookieepedia, so I think there be a uniform layout when there are specific references along with the general references in articles. —Mirlen 04:01, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

  • That's because References didn't exist when the MoS and the Layout Guide were being created (IIRC). :) Anyway, I say we call the section Notes, because the Sources section acts as references most of the time. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 04:08, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Sounds good to me. Should information concerning sources and references be added to the MoS (after we get a concensus of course)? (I just rearranged and regrouped the sections under its approriate and relevant headings). On a random note, is bullet point style preferred for 'Behind the scenes' (e.g. Ben Skywalker) or subheadings (e.g. Jacen Solo)? Personally, I think subheadings are more professional looking, but too much behind the scenes information would create an overload of subheadings... —Mirlen 04:18, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I think that with the addition of Notes, some BTS can be eliminated from articles (See what I did to Ta'a Chume for an example). Whatever doesn't fit in footnotes to the text can probably stay in the BTS. I think subheadings look good, too, but when there is no need for any, I use the bullets.
