This may sound crazy to you people, but if a very, very unsignificant character (Ex: Verpine Jedi) is given a very long backstory on Star Wars Fanon (Ex: Hasti Zaadvala), should it be included in Behind the Scenes saying something like:

Behind the ScenesEdit

  • This Verpine Jedi was given an unofficial backstory and name on Star Wars Fanon. However, this information is fanon and should not be taken as official canon.

  • Sorry, but no. Since it is a non-notable backstory made up by one fan, it would not pass the verification process anyway. Also, promoting one fan's version of a character would be opening the floodgates for us to be adding EVERYONE's version of that character to all of our articles. I'm all for linking to SW Fanon, but my opinion is that this isn't the way to do it. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 03:14, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
    • Agreed: I wouldn't be surprised if several canon elements have more than one contradictory fanon article discussing them, and it's not our place here to pick one. There are also a fair number of users here who have little or no interest in the fanon wiki, and would prefer it to be kept totally separate from Wookieepedia with as few links as practical. (And with that, can we take your objections as read, people? No bashing of other wikis, please.) —Silly Dan (talk) 03:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
      • Could the Fanon wiki simply be treated like a foreign language, perhaps? 04:46, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
        • This is a canon wiki, NOT a fanon wiki.. people would be confused if we linked to fanon articles. - Bakse 09:27, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
          • In response to the anon's edit: Maybe it's technically feasible, but that would not be much different than simply adding a link. It would also promote one fan's work. - TopAce (Talk) 20:44, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Why is this even under discussion? Next thing you know, we'd have links to "Darht Sidius 2.1" on our Palpatine article, etc. Absolutely no kriffing way should we link to fanon wiki like that. Atarumaster88 15:15, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
