I have started this topic because I would like others opinion on the infobox image at the Gamorrean article. There is some debate between using NEGAS image and the original image. Please could people go to this page and vote (Infobox image section). I would very much appreciate your comments and votes. -- Volemlock 18:11, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

  • For the record, I don't know where everyone got the idea that the NEGAS pictures are preferred to pictures from any other source: but I don't like it, and I've reverted the replacement of perfectly good pictures with NEGAS pictures which are not a significant improvement at least twice. Could everyone please stop using NEGAS simply for the sake of using NEGAS? —Silly Dan (talk) 21:30, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Honestly, I think we should prefer a movie still or movie promo picture in infoboxes whenever possible for any kind of topic. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(TINC) 22:03, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
      • In my view I think that there are occasions when a non-movie image is more appropriate for the infoboxes, when it is a better representation of the species characteristics for example. Some species have only had very small appearances in the movies. I would tend to favor a full body image (for species) over others for the infobox as it gives the viewer a good overall impression of the species attributes. I do think that there should be a movie image in the article somewhere though (if available). I would be reluctant to have a policy but think that some agreed guidelines for species infoboxes might be desirable. The guidelines could be agreed on the Wookieepedia:WookieeProject Aliens page maybe? -- Volemlock 22:26, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
