I've just added all 10 of the Holiday Special videos on youtube to User:Roron Corobb/Holiday Special Videos so now you can watch the whole thing whenever you want. Roron Corobb Blacksun 02:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

  • "Whenever you want." Uhhh yeah, about that.... Nah I'm joking, it's worth watching. Thanks! Darth Maddolis 07:50, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Isn't that copyright violation? I don't think we're supposed to support copyright violation on Wokieepedia. – Aidje talk 01:39, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Why Youtube?--Herbsewell 01:47, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
      • If it is, it shouldn't be on YouTube either.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 01:50, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Roron, you had me going there for a second. When I read the title of this, it sounded like you meant an official release was on its way. :P Adamwankenobi 14:47, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
          • Don't toy with Adam's emotions like that! Green Tentacle (Talk) 15:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
            • I must say, I had the same reaction as Adam. And Oblivion is correct: it shouldn't be on YouTube either. The concern for us is linking to copyrighted material. We don't want to do anything to get on Lucasfilm's bad side. – Aidje talk 16:41, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
              • Even NBC removed all their SNL skits from YouTube so you know that LFL will be on the hunt to destroy it. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:47, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
                • Since it has never been released or shown on TV after it aired, LFL doesn't actually profit from the special.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 18:53, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
                  • Yeah, but until recently we could have said the same thing about the original, un-special trilogy on DVD. There was a time when home-made versions were the only ones available, so one didn't feel so bad about buying them. Then, suddenly, it gets officially released. -BaronGrackle 23:40, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
                    • And actually it doesn't matter if they are profiting from it or not, they still hold the copyright. If GL doesn't want to release it, it's his and that's his business. I'll be glad to let you see some of the movies my friends and I made in high school but we're sure not going to release them to the public and that's our business and we'd be pissed off if someone put them on YouTube. And for the record I too was so excited for about the 3.5 seconds it took to load this page that possibly we were looking at an official version. And what does this have to do with Wookieepedia? Should it even be in the Senate Hall? Wildyoda 04:14, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I have now deleted the page in question. – Aidje talk 23:27, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
