What defines SW-1, SW-2, and SW-3? Revan's Bane 23:45, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

  • It's basically just your opinion. If you think you know a lot, put 3. Medium, 2. Not so much, 1. Most people use 3, but they tend to exaggerate. I'm probably guilty of that as well, maybe just a bit. Jack Nebulax has SW-4, but he's the only one I can think of like that. Chack Jadson 23:49, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Its on the part of the user to determine that. Personally I felt I started with a SW-2 level, or intermediate knowledge of the GFFA and the SW universe, however have since gained so much knowledge from being admin that I could upgrade to SW-3. I removed SW-4 since many people that were clearly not that advanced chose it anyway and thus the scale became inaccurate. Only Lucas and the dozens of authors and writers that keep up with everything in the continuity are truly worthy of SW-4. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:50, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Although someone said Kwenn and I deserved SW-4. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 00:15, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Abel and Dan are worthy, as well as a few select fans. Havac 05:27, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
        • It's usually the fans who think it's real. .... 06:38, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
          • WHAT?!? It's not real? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :P Adamwankenobi 06:40, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
            • Except for Thrawn. He travelled here and turned into Condolezza [sic] Rice. .... 06:42, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
              • Don't be insulting Thrawn like that! ;) Adamwankenobi 06:59, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
                • Why? They're both fantastic puppeteers. Even better than Frank Oz. .... 07:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
                  • True, true. Adamwankenobi 07:08, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
                    • I think that Bobvitas should get SW-4, but that's just me. Same with Danwallace. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 00:40, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
                      • Yeah, I think it should be reserved for those who actively contribute to SW...not in a What's the Story capacity, but in a Dan Wallace capacity. But not Karen Traviss. Should she ever decide to visit this Wiki. Which she won't. For obvious reasons. .... 00:50, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
                        • Let's not go there 4dot. We've already seen the kinds of fights that starts. And Bob and Dan are actually members of this wiki. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 02:59, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
                          • I was in fact joking; you may have noticed from the tone. And I'm well aware of Wallace's membership here. .... 04:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
                            • No, remarkably I've found that sound and tone do not carry well through the Internet. :-P Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 04:41, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
                              • Who knows? Maybe there could be some user on this wiki who nobodys even heard of and he has like 1 edit but he's a genius when it comes to Star Wars? There's really no way to positively know. Roron Corobb 01:31, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
  • "Only Lucas and the dozens of authors and writers that keep up with everything in the continuity are truly worthy of SW-4." Well, no offense to any of those claims, but I could keep up with everything in the continuity if every word I spoke suddenly became canon. (Even as it is, some of these authors betray a 2-3 level of understanding, with the way they neglect each others' contributions) -BaronGrackle 07:03, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
    • True - on a EU scale, Lucas is hardly even at level 2. .... 07:09, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
    • And all of this is not really relevant to the wiki . . . Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 15:38, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
      • The point is: don't say you know more than you do. It's supposed to help where knowledge is needed on the site, or else the person may be unable to answer a question relating to canon. Btw, when did Bob Vitas join Wookieepedia? -- Riffsyphon1024 22:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
        • August 10 according to user contribs. He's been fairly active with placing CUSWE links; I'm surprised you haven't noticed Riff. :-P Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 23:44, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
          • That was just after I went back to classes. -- Riffsyphon1024 00:23, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
            • Something else altogether: Is it enough to know storylines, characters, history and such, or do you need to know, say, the specifications and type numbers of every single starship or speak Mando'a to be SW-3? Because if that's the kind of knowledge it takes, I'd better remove my tag... Evir Daal 08:56, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
              • I'm keeping my SW3 tag because I'm treating the system as if SW4 still exists -- it's just that nobody has such extensive knowledge. If SW3 then becomes "perfect knowledge", we'd have to get rid of that, etc, etc. Havac 19:00, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
                • I don't think that you need to know Mando'a or all of the Saxton junk. That's just for sick, sad people who are trying to turn SW into a Sci-Fi. .... 21:49, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
                  • The entire thing is pretty much subjective- with no way to prove or disprove it. I consider myself SW-3, but if you asked me about the Killiks, or even worse the Nagai, I'd have a hard time answering it. There is no set standard among us.
