Forums > Senate Hall archive > SH Archive/T-shirt design

Our t-shirt design has been approved by Lucasfilm. It cannot be sold for any profit whatsoever. However, it can be given out to workers at our table, trivia contest winners, etc. Who knows, possibly each new Wookieepedian of the Month.

The general idea with the shirt is to include our logo on the front left pocket area, and the Chewbacca design on the back.

I know many of you are not attending C4, but I still want your opinions. Consider this an unofficial Consensus Track. Feel free to add your own suggestions for colors or anything else.

Note: More screens = more expensive

White shirt/current colorsEdit

3 screens: black and blue on front, brown on back.

  5. White shirt is less hassle with screen printing, though I made a brown shirt, but its text and images were far simpler than this. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:53, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Black shirt/white inkEdit

  1. Black shirt, white negative. White shirts looks so...tacky. .... 01:00, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
  2. Per 4dot. (why is this option in the gallery above but not listed here?) Charlii 18:50, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
  3. If it's going to cost roughly five bucks a screen, it's probably for the best to keep it down to two screens. jSarek 23:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Any shirt/any other inkEdit

With this option, practically any color can be used, from a white shirt with only 2 screens of practically any ink color, to any other color shirt with 2 screens of white or silver, or 4 screens of any other colors on top of white.

  1. Black shirt, blue or silver ink maybe...? Blue shirt, white ink? —Xwing328(Talk) 18:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
  2. Black or white shirt/Current colors - JMAS 18:58, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Black shirt/current colorsEdit

4 screens: blue over white on front, brown over white on back.

  • Maybe I should enunciate that more screens mean a much higher price. And we are on an extreeeemely limited budget, so unless you want to donate to your own shirt, we will only be able to purchase a few. —Xwing328(Talk) 22:42, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Even though there are many star wars geeks around the world, I don't think a whole lot of people are willing to buy them. They would say: What's wookieepedia? Well if I see one, i'll buy it.--Windu223 01:04, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
  • No you won't. It's non-profit. .... 01:05, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Xwing: About how much will the number of screens affect price? I think my decision rests on how much adding a screen or two would hurt the bottom line. jSarek 02:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
    • I haven't gotten an exact quote for this. If I remember correctly from past work, 2 is < $10 USD, and 4 is < $20 USD. It also depends on the quantity ordered. Windu223 (and any others): This is not a for-profit sale. It is primarily intended for workers at our table. Thanks for your interest though. Hopefully we can work some way out to "award" them to users. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:04, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
      • Bob Vitas had a good point: White shirts are good for signatures :) —Xwing328(Talk) 16:11, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
        • Frack, I did not think about that. I'll never wash it then. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Shirts are being printed. Had to go with a photo printer instead of a screen printer. Nobody would touch what they consider such a small order without exorbitant costs for full-color screens. I think they'll be very good though. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:26, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
    • Will they still wash like screen printed shirts, even though I said I wouldn't wash it? -- Riffsyphon1024 01:02, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
      • I really hope so. I hated having to go with this, but like I said, the guy I talked to said it would be practically impossible to do this way with screens... :( They do look nice though! I got them in the other day. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:37, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
        • At least we have a finished product. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:47, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
          • I wish I could say the same about the brochure. I haven't heard from Ozzel recently. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:58, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
            • Xwing, could you post a pic of one of the shirts? Adamwankenobi 05:01, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
              • Not my finest photographic moment, I admit, but check the gallery above. —Xwing328(Talk) 05:12, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
                • Good job. Did you get all those files by Mary Franklin. I unfortunately don't have Excel to view with. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:18, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
                • Cool stuff. Adamwankenobi 05:23, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
                  • Yeah I did. That's why we had the schedule up before it was released to the public :P —Xwing328(Talk) 16:12, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
                    • So, the shirts are printed. So there won't be any possibility of getting one then. (apart from printing my own, that is...) Charlii
                      • Do you want one? If you can go to C4, work the table or compete in our trivia contest, and it could be yours. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:03, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
                        • Well, I suppose they'll be worth a lot in fifty years time...:-) Unit 8311 16:51, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
