Is there a procedure for copying and using content from Wikipedia? I've noticed some articles have a history dump; is this a good idea? How is it done? Wikipedia has an article on a Star Wars author I'd like to port over here. — SavageBob 02:51, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Wookieepedia:Information from Wikipedia. Just copy the article verbatim, upload necessary images, remove Wikipedia-specific templates, copy the edit history to the talk page, and place a wookify tag. Others will take care of the rest. - Sikon [Talk] 05:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks. I believe I have successfully transferred Joe Johnston. — SavageBob 15:55, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Actually from what I've seen it's better to put the {{Wikipedia}} template on the talk page rather than the actual history; saves a bit of space, and it looks neater. —MarcK [talk] 18:09, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
