FreiTek, Inc's talk page is blanked! I blanked a talk page once and I got a warning (true story). In that warning message I got the user said blanking pages is considered bad form around here.--Windu223 01:25, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Okay. Your going to need to stop acting like a 13 year old. Don't start a new topic in the Senate Hall every time you have a question. You are wasting my time and everyone else's. And this time you aren't even asking a freakin question! The Senate Hall is not your personal notice board nor is it a message board. --RedemptionRedemptionusersymbolTalk 01:27, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
    • First of all, Redemption, no need to be so brusque with him. Windu223, I suggest that these types of things are better addressed to individual users or admins (See WP:A for a list). With that in mind, if the talk page has been blanked, it should be reverted and person who blanked it warned. Atarumaster88 02:17, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
      • It's bad form to blank user talk pages, and blanking article talk pages is usually vandalism: but in this case, it appears McEwok started the talk page by asking a question, then retracted his own question a minute later. Had he added {{deletebecause|never mind, I answered my own question}}, or if he had deleted a question from an existing talk page immediately after he asked it, I wouldn't have a problem with it (presuming the original question didn't have a personal attack in it or anything like that.) —Silly Dan (talk) 02:30, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
        • In fact, the Senate Hall seems to be the exact place to start a new topic if you have a question. It says "feel free to ask questions" right in the first paragraph of the page. New users can figure some things out from looking around the site and the help pages and FAQs (which is where they should try looking first), but sometimes the answer isn't always where you're looking. - Esjs(Talk) 03:59, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Why ask that here? Could you not just revert the blanking?? -Fnlayson 02:28, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
    • Because Windu223 is new, presumably, and was not born magically knowing every single rule here. Now, presumably, he's learned a bit more about this wiki, thanks to Ataru's explanation. —Silly Dan (talk) 02:30, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
      • Should have worded my questions better. My why ask here question was to find out what Windu223 wanted us to do, not about rules. If he said he didn't know how to revert I'd point him to the right place. -Fnlayson 03:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Incidentally, it appears as though certain users are still convinced that a user blanking their own talk page is a warnable offense. Tut tut. --School of Thrawn 101 07:17, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
