The Wookieepedia:Manual of Style states that In-universe articles should be written from a past tense. But what about Out-of-universe articles? Past or present? Fe Nite (talk) 15:50, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure if there is an official rule about it, but what I've always seen is that the tense changes according to the time of the subject. For example, if a book is coming out in 2014, we would say "This book is coming out in 2014." If it was already out, we would say "This book was published in 2012." Likewise, if someone is still alive, we would say "George Lucas is a filmmaker." And if they were already dead, we would say "Peter Cushing played Tarkin." Does that answer your question?—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 16:11, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
