In several instances of your articles, you have references to the TV-show Futurama. Unfortunately for us, you link to Wikipedia, while we are fully confident that our wiki (theinfosphere.org) is the most well equipped Futurama wiki out there. We are about to start linking to your wiki instead of Wikipedia for Star Wars information (something Futurama often parodies or references). So it would be nice if we could link both ways.

I am patient enough to wait a little for a response, but a little respect of response would have been appreciated. I am asking you for this "partnership" for the sake of your readers. You provide your readers with high detail information about Star Wars, without compromising, so do we, just about Futurama. I fail to understand why your readers cannot be provided with the same amount of high detail information, just because it isn't your gig. This is not for us, this is not for you, this is for the sake of yours and ours readers. --Svip 21:23, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Um, who exactly are you directing this at? It's not like there's anyone in charge here who has decided to ignore you... This is just a community of users here, many of whom may have been busy over the holiday season, and many others of whom may simply have felt that it wasn't their place to take it upon themselves to reply on behalf of the entire community. Frankly, this would be better as a Consensus Track thread, where the community can come to a decision about it. In fact, I'm going to start a CT thread about this. I won't move this thread there, though, because I'm going to expand the concept to other specific wikis rather than just make it about the Futurama one. DolukTalk 01:37, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your response, and I understand your concern. I was merely looking for a response of any kind. And I find yours appropriate. I did wait over the holidays, but holidays also give people more free time to perhaps investigate this said wiki, as I assume very few on this wiki do it as a job. My largest concern was directing it to whoever could add it as interwiki link (e.g. [[infosphere:]]). By the way, our wiki have been approved for an interwiki link at the WikiMedia Foundation. I know that Wikia has no relation with WikiMedia (except it was funded by pretty much the same people), but I believe that Wikia would have no obligation seeking advice from WikiMedia. But perhaps I need to go higher on Wikia to ask for an interwiki link. And again, thank you for your response. --Svip 03:26, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Heh, well, I guess I'll put on my administrative cloak and speak up here. The issue here is that we have no explicit policy on linking one way or another to other wikis as opposed to Wikipedia. There is currently a consensus track thread designed to discuss that matter, but insofar as I can tell, nothing is prohibiting you from adding the links as you see fit, at least not in terms of policy. We appreciate your linking to us, of course. It's possible that you could nominate your wiki for official friendship, but given our lack of ties aside from interwiki linking and the almost nonexistent history between us, I'm of the opinion that will probably not be successful. More or less, Doluk gives a pretty thorough answer, though, so I'll just leave it at that. There's no real need to trouble people at Wikia about it, though-this sort of thing is deferred to the policies and communities of the individual wikis. Cheers.
