As you may know, the Jedi Council Forums at TheForce.Net will be moving soon. While they'll still be at boards.theforce.net, since the boards software is changing, the individual post URLs will no doubt be changed dramatically. This is going to affect a lot of our links.
The easiest way to transition that, I think, would be to make sure we have the thread titles and post dates (if it's a specific post) for anything we link to. When the boards move, it should be relatively simple, if a lot of work overall, to find the equivalent URLs. I know that for many links we do have those, but I bet there's plenty we don't. The second step would be having all the links that need changing in a handy central location. The technical wizards might know if there's an easy way to compile those by bot, but if not, we'd have to crowdsource it and manually make a list, probably here.
So before any big project is launched, thoughts?- Lord Hydronium 23:11, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
That's exactly the sort of wizardry I was hoping for, and saves a lot of work. Now we just have to make sure that however many of those 751 are in the main namespace have the necessary info to change. - Lord Hydronium 23:17, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
