Has anyone else noticed that a number of editors, most often anons, have been deleting perfectly good information from articles, sometimes even labeling it as a factual correction? Many of these changes seem to go unnoticed.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 14:02, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Most often this is due to someone trying to impose their own point-of-view on an article by removing information that doesn't support it. The best thing to do is revert their blanking and ask them about it on their talk page, and then bring it up on the noticeboard if they persist without justifying their edits. Wookieepedia doesn't discard or discount any canonical information, no matter how much some of us might like to. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 14:19, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Oi, I ask on the discussion page first if I want to remove a lot of information. I see how others feel, then make a decision from there. I think that's the best policy there, asking first. I have noticed how some people randomly remove information because they prefer one thing to another. That's highly annoying. <3 China! 17:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Can you give some examples? KEJ 17:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I didn't want to start a new topic on this, but I think this line After killing Darth Maul, Obi-Wan used the Force to retrieve his blue-bladed lightsaber that was falling in the chasm of Theed Palace). from the RotS trivia section should be removed, since Obi-Wan never recovered that LS, in fact, at the end of TPM novel it is stated that Qui-Gon's lightsaber was now Obi-Wan's (because OW no longer had his own). • And that fact is carried over in Greg Bear's Rogue Planet, where Obi-wan has been using Qui-gon's green saber in honor of his fallen Master.Tocneppil 21:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Oh yes! I forgot about that too! Thanks for the reminder. Darth Jenny Rose 21:06, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
        • No worries, its a big universe.:)Tocneppil 21:35, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
          • I removed that line and also removed a newly trivia someone (anon) added, stating that Obi-Wan says "God Dammit" and that the word God was censored (during the opening battle above Coruscant). He never says "dammit"
  • For examples, check the histories of several different Star Destroyer articles, such as Tector-class Star Destroyer, Executor-class Star Dreadnought, and both Imperial-class Star Destroyers.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 21:53, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
    • And those are all one guy with an obvious agenda, and I've already warned him to stop. Next time he removes anything significant, I'm blocking him. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 22:09, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
      • There are some other Anon's who do the same thing. He is the most recent, though.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 22:52, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
