We have templates for noncanon articles and for articles that might not be canon, but the latter currently limits itself to unlicensed sources. Roleplaying scenarios, from the wonderfully licensed Wizards of the Coast, presents problems. Some of these scenarios are clearly non-canon, while others clearly are.

And then we have others. Knights of the Old Republic: Opportunities tells an adventurous story that includes HK-47 being used by pirates and defeated, and either Darth Malak or Bastila Shan being confronted by an increasingly powerful Jedi/Sith. Both cases unlikely considering what we know from other canon sources, but both cases also possible (HK-47 could have never recovered his memory of the encounter, and Malak or Bastila could have smashed the Force-using upstart). The Attack on Endor scenario book tells of a Nightsister who leads an attack against the New Republic-era Jedi Academy, which is defended by Kyle Katarn. It also details how Lando Calrissian and Dash Rendar rescue the smuggler Owal Sopil from a Black Sun prison, a facility that Guri happens to be inspecting at the time. If we were to make an article over Owal Sopil, which template would go at the top of the page? Can we edit the current ambiguous template so that it is no longer limited to unlicensed sources, or should we make a new one? Or do all of these scenarios become canon so long as they can possibly fit in continuity (which most of them can)? Again, much thanks. -BaronGrackle 16:58, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I tweaked the wording of the Template:Ambig template ({{Ambigstart}} may need to be modified as well). How does it look?–SentryTalk 22:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Template:Ambig looks good, Sentry. I edited ({{Ambigstart}} as well. Solve the problem, BaronGrackle? Wildyoda 23:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
