I've seen some unsigned commments with something like "unsigned comment by <insert name here>." I know that in order to put that there, you must type Unsigned comment by username (talk • contribs)., but who's allowed to put that there. Is it like admins who see unsigned comments and know who unsigned them supposed to put that there or can other Wookieepedians use that template? • Anyone who sees an unsigned comment on a talk page or forum is welcomed to put {{Unsigned|username}} beside the unsigned comment with the correct username. Cheers, Greyman(Talk) 23:49, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

HEY!! Why me :) Darth Banny

    • Well, all users a required to sign with tides, period. I saw my name up there and is should be noted that that was in my early times in the sight, and most people come in this way. Its okay to not know if your new, but please warn a new user if they do not sign their tides. The almighty Ninja Tyvokka 02:24, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
  • No, I'm not saying specifically anyone. For newcomers, if you put this {{USERNAME}} while editing, then it will automatically show replace <insert name here> with your username. For example, every time I visit this page, it says "'unsigned comment by Marco Lam.'" Sorry if I offended anyone, but I'm not saying anyone in specific. If the page is loading slowly or if you're not logged on, then you'll see that it'll say <insert name here>. Oh, and thanks Greyman because I'm still kind of new around here. No offense taken!Mecenarylord 11:35, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Sorry all: all I did was not put anything in the summary bar and just clicked the minor edit box, which is all I do on the Discworld wiki ([[1]]) when I've only changed a spelling or a word or two. For the record (as if anyone cared) I substituted the word "tenant" (meaning "resider") for "tenet" (meaning "article of faith") in the Balance of the Force article. Sorry for all fuss caused! --Boba matt JaingHead 13:12, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Where have i not signed by name? JediNTT307 17:30, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
    • Please read the explanation above you. Marco Lam Jedi Order(Contact) 02:41, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
      • LOL! I was about to ask the "Hey, why me?" question before I finally understood the explanation above. :) - Esjs(Talk) 03:58, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
