Forums > Senate Hall archive > SH Archive/Where'd the underlines go?

It seems that link underlines disappeared after the recent site maintenance. And yes, I've cleared my cache, and yes, I have my preferences set to always show them. So where'd they go? And will they be coming back? I'm starting to miss the little guys. -- Ozzel 21:31, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I miss 'em, too - they used to be one way of telling me I was logged in, since they were absent when I wasn't. Things look funny without them. jSarek 00:17, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Missed the underlines too - seems someone edited the central stylesheet. I know that many people prefer to have their links without underlines, so most won't even notice the changes. If you don't want to wait, just add
a { text-decoration:underline !important; }

to your personal stylesheet. --Craven 12:53, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Ah, I see now that Sikon changed it. I'll ask him about it. -- Ozzel 01:36, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Yes, I did that - my rationale is that we need a single, definite standard for links, and it was impossible when some users had links underlined and others didn't, for unclear reasons. However, now that not everyone agrees, I think we should make a vote. - Sikon 04:19, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Why do need a standard, though? What's wrong with it being optional? -- Ozzel 05:56, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
        • If we are going to have a vote, can we at least have the underlines back in the mean time? -- Ozzel 19:10, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
          • Err... Sorry, but the lack of underlines is really starting to bug me. Can we please have them back? -- Ozzel 02:07, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
            • Thanks for fixing it. :-) -- Ozzel 05:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
