They don't exist. We usually don't standardize a set layout for a certain subject until multiple articles of that nature have been taken to Featured and Good status, thus creating a solid precedent that the community has effectively adopted. In the absence of a standardize layout, the writer is basically free to format an article as they deem appropriate, though it's generally recommended to follow any precedent that may be beginning to take form. There are 51 Good articles and 5 Featured articles on Weapons and Technology. I think it's time to make a standardized layout. After all, Force powers have their own Layout guide and they only have 6 Good and 4 Featured.--Richterbelmont10 (talk) 21:36, July 16, 2013 (UTC)
There are some guidelines for the organization of weapons, armor, & similar equipment articles within Wookieepedia. Though there is some flexibility, the following sections are typical:
Description will include any information on the characteristics of the item such as design, ultilization, and variants.
History covers the known use of the item, arranged in chronological order. Ideally, all appearances of the item in canon are described here. Also included are users of the item, detailing the specific instances of the item's use, and by whom.
Each of these sections may be further subdivided as appropriate. Note: if something else of significance concerning the item is relevant, a section of its own can be created.
