In Palpatine and Yoda's sections about the Senate duel, they contradict themselves. Palpatine's makes him to be the winner and that Yoda was too weak and simply gave up while Yoda's makes it look like the Jedi master was a big match against the Emperor and the fight ended in a stalemate. Also that Yoda would have continued the fight but he sensed troopers coming and left. I find Yoda's section more accurate since Palpatine's section just makes him out to be not even phased against Yoda (not to mention how short his section is considering it's one of the most epic battles). • I think thats because those two different articles were written by two separate users or several users. There are pro-Jedi and pro-Sith editors here and they often enjoy leaving their personal touch to the article. I think that these articles need to be conformed to a Neutral Point of View. • Having said that, there appear to be differing POV in canon, too. The film pretty much makes them equal, until the end, whereas the novel reveals that Yoda couldn't possibly win the fight, and it takes on Sidious's POV, in which it's implied Yoda reaches the limit of his power during the duel - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 16:02, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
      • Regardless what the film novelization says, doesn't the film override that? In the movie, they were both clearly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of power they were employing. Both were thrown backwards from the blast. Sidious was just blown back into the senate pod, whereas Yoda was thrown off the pod and down several levels to the Chancellor's podium. Neither was victorious, it was a draw. - JMAS 19:12, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
        • I didn't see that. The fight looked close, but it seemed pretty clear to me that Palpatine had won. I don't think, given the stakes, that Yoda would've fled if there was any doubt as to the ultimate victor of the battle. The novel just backs up what the film shows. jSarek 00:09, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
