  • While working on the starfighter articles, I found that a number of squadrons, particularly X-wing squadrons (I haven't found any others) are categorized under Category:X-wings or even Category:Galactic Alliance Starfighters. The problem is that these two categories are subcats of Category:Starfighters, which is used for starfighter types. However, very few other squadrons are categorized this way, and moreover, some of those squadrons, such as Rogue and Twin Suns, are not all X-wing units, or weren't at some point. Do we want to categorize all our squadrons like this? IMHO, I'd prefer to keep organizations separate from vehicle types, but that's just me. • Agreed w/ above. Perhaps a squadrons category, then subcats for squadrons of specific types including a "mixed" subcat? Serendipitousus 00:37, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Well, a squadrons cat exists, but some are placed in more than one category, which IMO leads to trouble. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Audience Chamber) 00:53, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Then we could still do that, with the subcategories, and for units like Roque Squadron which for most of its life has been an X-Wing unit but contained other things, either come to a consensus for that particular article whether it would be subcategorized as an "X-Wing" unit or a "Mixed/Multi-starfighter" unit or both. It just needs somebody to take it on and edit categories into a lot of pages. Wildyoda 21:57, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
    • And for the record, I agree with keeping organizations seperate from ships as well.
