How long do we let an article lie around with no sources? I've been perusing this category Category:Sourceless tagged and found plenty that have been sitting around since last year. Shouldn't we delete at least the most egregious? Just a thought. Enochf 20:36, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Do what I do: remove the sources tag, slap on {{verify}}, and wait a week. If it's not sourced after 7 days, it gets deleted. --Imp 20:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Now I have a hunch that most of these items exist in canon, throwing out those on VFD currently. It's as simple as no one is willing to verify it and add that appearance or source. We will end up going in circles. -- Riffsyphon1024 21:54, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
      • I have the same hunch, but then let's wait until someone with a book in front of them re-adds them properly, huh? Enochf 21:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
    • To clarify: Category:Sourceless is for old sourceless articles (so we won't delete them outright) and Category:Verify is for newly created ones (they're deleted in seven days) - see Wookieepedia:WookieeProject Verifiability. We can probably send sourceless articles into the verify pool in portions. The "... tagged" categories were created due to technical limitations that are no longer present. We can safely get rid of them. - Sikon 09:03, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
