Standard layoutEdit

I was thinking of introducing some standard sections for our species articles. From the articles I see 4 main sections that tend to cover most: 1) Biology, 2) Culture, 3) History, 4)[Insert name here] in the galaxy. Within these main sections, various subsections may be appropriate. Is it worth trying to standardise the articles? Having suggested these four sections, I'm aware that in fact Chiss, Squib, Ewok or Gamorrean exactly match these! --Eyrezer 10:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I think that it might be a good idea to list some suggested sections on the project page but I dont know if we should insist that these are the only section titles that can be used. In principle though I agree with standardising the section headings. -- Volemlock 11:04, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
    • The more I looked at the articles, I realised that my first proposal would never work as a mandatory requirement. A recommended or suggested titles would work better, you are right. --Eyrezer 02:03, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Yes, this is definitely needed. While editing Selkath I was looking at other species articles for cues on what headings to include, but they all seemed to use different wordings. For example, the physical description of the species could be "Biology," "Physiology," "Appearance," or "Physical characteristics." It would be nice to have a little more consistency. • I've done some standardization across the Wookiee. Most should now be "Biology and appearance" which is the label used in the Galaxy Guides. I've changed some sections to "culture" but I wonder if "Society and culture" would be better? --Eyrezer 07:10, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
