Are there Stormtroopers that are women? And Why were there only Human Stormtroopers? JediNTT307 23:59, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the clone army was 100% human; when they started letting in recruits, there just nothing to be gained by accepting aliens. There were anti-alien policies in the Empire, so it only made sense to have all stormies be human if they were gonna be a primary symbol of Imperial rule. As for women, most Earth societies don't allow females into the ranks of elite combat units. The Empire was no different. That said, the New Galactic Empire did allow women and aliens to become stormtroopers. -LtNOWIS 00:53, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure there are any reported cases of female stormtroopers serving in the Imperial Army during the Galactic Civil War. I will quote Luke Skywalker from Star Wars Journal: The Fight for Justice, referring to Leia: "Of course, then we'd have to get back to the Falcon with her, hoping that nobody noticed. I thought that on a ship this size, there had to be women workers, so maybe a princess wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Of course, that was before I knew the Empire rarely uses women or aliens in their forces...They don't think women are useful!" However, if you read the BTS section on the Non-huMan page, you will find that George Lucas originally intended female stormtroopers to be common, though none were stationed aboard the Death Star. Also according to this BTS section, the first reference of female stormtroopers appears in the Star Wars Legacy comic series. As far as alien stormtroopers, like women, I do not believe there were any instances of aliens serving as stormtroopers in the Imperial Army during the Civil War. However, I will direct you to the stormtrooper armor page to see that alien stormtroopers did exist many years later. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:00, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, there were definitely List of Imperial women|women and aliens in the Imperial service. They just couldn't be stormtroopers until long after Palpatine's death. -LtNOWIS 22:32, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Besides, if there are female stormtroopers, then Weird Al has got it all wrong. :-P Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 14:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

yes, its obvious that women did serve, though rarely. just look at Daala.
- Okay, you've got me intrigued. What does Weird Al have to do with this?--Hobbie 04:04, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Alien stormtroopers[]
According to the 501st Legion article, non-humans were accepted in the Stormtrooper Corps sometime later. Stake black msg 13:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
