There's alot of Star Wars stuff in Toy Story numero uno! Emperor Zurg is like Palpatine and Vader all-in-one set, Buzz: Somewhere, Zurg, is building a machine that has the firing capacity to destroy an entire planet! Only I have the knowledge of its only weakness... (ETC....), Galactic Alliance, and even some species in the TV series bears some resemblence to some little known Star Wars Patrons! Now then, is TS I giving tribute to the very thing that gave it life because, HISTORY 101! George Lucas and and his company created Pixar and sold it to the 3D-movie makers we all know today, orrrrr is it making fun of Sci-fi in all? Because Buzz does that Hand thing from Star Trek when saying "Farwell" to Woddy under the Truck, Live-long and prosper or something like that. I need some serious help with this problem! It is probably both. Toy Story makes tribute to various Sci-Fi films and at the same time, makes fun of it. But as said, George Lucas is quite the influential guy. --FireV 20:03, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
I think the reason behind all of the Star Wars refrences in Toy Story is because Pixar, the company who made Toy Story, used to belong to George Lucas. Lucas sold the company to....I think, Disney. In Toy Story 2 there is also is also a refrence to the movie, Jurassic Park. That part is when Rex is chasing the car through the toy store, and when you see him in the rear view mirror. Hopes this helps! 18.104.22.168 16:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
