Hey guys, now everyone knows that George Lucas said that their couldn't be any more Wookie Jedi after Lowbacca (Or was Tyvokka? meh) and I'm about to see if I can write a Star Wars book and I was wondering if their could be Wookie Sith? —Unsigned comment by 71.207.172.104 (talk • contribs).
- Yes, you can write a book...and yes, there can be a Wookiee Sith in it. Have fun with your legal suit. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 14:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- To write a Star Wars book, you need to be an official, established Star Wars author and the book (and its entire content) must get LFL approval. And I think that official Star Wars authors can get information about what is allowed and what isn't from LFL, not Wookieepedia. - Sikon 14:21, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, official established Star Wars author ... nope ... don't have that ... man, I thought all I had to do was write then get it approved.
- I hate to spoil any childhood dreams, but the above users are right. It's best (actually, there's no other way, unless you're Curtis Saxton) to become an established sci-fi writer, win some awards, and then get contacted by Lucasfilm to wrie a novel. Chack Jadson 00:47, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- If you want a chance to write for Star Wars, your best bet is to get a Hyperspace membership and participate in the What's the Story? competition. QuentinGeorge 01:01, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- I just came across this and I foud it quite entertaining. I MAY have a chance writing a Star Wars book! No, Really, some of my family members are published authors.Hehe:) Anzati02 00:05, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
dang all of you brought my dream to a halt ive been working on a book for bout a month
- Aww, you shouldn't quit now. Karen Traviss recently said on the official forums that if you write two pages of text every bloody day for the next few years, then use your characters from that run to write a whole additional book, and that book is good enough to get published and recognitized, then you can give her a call about becoming a SW author. Sounds easy, don't it? DarthMRN 18:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- wasnt gonna stop now im gonna finish it
- Wouldn't it be cool to right about ancient coruscanti just discovering the force? Well, I think it would be cool.
- No, because we know that the Jedi originate from Tython. Jasca Ducato Sith Council 19:40, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Brings up another point... make sure that any "books" that you write comply with canon... π = 3 (Talk to me, babe.) 19:44, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- It would also be wise to make sure that your spelling is correct...good writers don't rely entirely on spell check... --RedemptionTalk 19:49, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
