A Forward Command Center (FCC) was a mobile command station used by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.^[1]

CharacteristicsEdit

From the FCC, a clone commander and his Jedi General would command their troops and direct the battle. It was a small, circular platform that allowed clone troopers to monitor the battle.^[1]

Forward command centers were small enough to be air-lifted onto the battlefield by LAAT/c gunships, though were nevertheless fully-equipped tactical command centers.

HistoryEdit

Jedi Master Yoda and Commander CRC-09/571 were stationed in the first Republic FCC during the Battle of Geonosis. Here, CRC-09/571 informed Yoda that the forward positions of the clones were advancing on Separatist forces. Yoda's order to target the nearest Core ship was relayed to the artillery units from the center.^[1] Although the center lacked weapons, it was heavily guarded by two Republic gunships and many AT-TEs.

A similar center was used by Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Muunilinst.^[2]
