[edit] Biography

Foul carries Chancellor Palpatine while fleeing from General Grievous.

Along with Jedi Masters Shaak Ti and Roron Corobb, Foul was assigned to protect Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during the Battle of Coruscant, carrying the Chancellor with one arm, while using his lightsaber to fight off MagnaGuards with the other. He was very well-known for his fluid-like lightsaber technique. His technique proved to be very effective as he held off the MagnaGuards while holding the chancellor in one arm for a sustantial period of time before requiring Roron Corobb's help. While in the Chancellor's bunker after separating with Shaak Ti and Stass Allie, Foul along with Roron Corobb, B'ink Utrila, and Roth-Del Masona, sparred with the more powerful General Grievous. After Masona lost his head, and Corobb let his guard down, Moudama was relieved of his lightsaber hand and his left leg before finally being disemboweled.

[edit] Powers and abilities

Foul Moudama was well known for his fluid lightsaber technique. He was quite strong being able to carry Chancellor Palpatine in one arm while fending of magnaguards and Grievous himself with the other. He displayed the ability to use Force push and his combat skills were good enough for him to hold his ground against Grievous for a while before being struck down.

[edit] Behind the scenes

Foul being struck down by Grievous in the animated cartoon.

Foul was part of a poll on cartoonnetwork.com between himself, Roron Corobb and Voolvif Monn to decide which would be featured in Clone Wars. In the end, though Voolvif was the winner, all three were created.

Foul's presence actually contradicts previous statements that the Talz were not discovered until the reign of the Galactic Empire, but his Databank entry explains it away by saying that his origins are known to few.

There is a discrepancy in the events surrounding Foul Moudama that are portrayed in the Clone Wars cartoon when compared to Labyrinth of Evil. In the cartoon, Corobb and Moudama are shown on a long chase trying to save Palpatine. In the book, however, they are killed very quickly along with two other Jedi.

Foul's name comes from Foul Moudamas (spelling varies), a Middle-Eastern fava bean dish, according to the Clone Wars DVD commentary.

An action figure of Foul Moudama was created as part of the 2006 Hasbro Saga Collection. He was basically a re-mold of the POTF2 Muftak figure, but given a Jedi tunic and boots, as well as a slight variation on the paint job.

[edit] Appearances

A realistic interpretation of Foul was created for his 2006 Hasbro action figure packaging.
