The Four Masters were four Jedi Masters who founded the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant around 4,000 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire.
History[]
The Four Masters constructed a new Jedi temple—replacing the one lost in the devastation of the planet Ossus—around a natural spire rising from the cityscape of the planet Coruscant. The building grew over the millennia into a large complex that served as the central headquarters of the Jedi Order.[1]
Sculptures of these individuals were rendered as bas-reliefs into massive pylons which were displayed at the formal entrance to the Temple beyond the statues of two Warrior Masters and two Sage Masters. The Processional Way, leading through the Temple Precinct to the main stair, terminated under these great pylons.[1]
The statues of the Four Masters were destroyed or toppled in 19 BBY during Operation: Knightfall.[2]
