Freefloater desks were a make of desk which was considered fashionable in 43 ABY. In this year the judge, Arabelle Lorteli had one in her office, which Imperial Head of State Jagged Fel noted was bereft of paperwork, datapads or even a reading lamp when he was in the room to observe the trial of the former Jedi Tahiri Veila. The aesthetically pleasing but relatively unused desk, along with several other objects, led him to the conclusion that the office was designed with fashion, instead of function, in mind.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

A Freefloater desk first appeared in the 2009 novel Fate of the Jedi: Abyss which was written by Troy Denning as the third instalment of the Fate of the Jedi series.
