A Frequency Agile subspace transceiver was a type of subspace transceiver that was manufactured by Chedak. It was relatively common, and allowed for faster-than-light audio, video and hologram communications. It had a subspace antenna that was 12 kilometers of ultrathin, tightly wound, superconducting wire that enabled the subspace transceiver to transmit with a range of forty light-years. The Millennium Falcon's Frequency Agile subspace transceiver was equipped with a Carbanti Whistler encryption module in order to receive and send encrypted messages.[1]
