G'Mai Duris was Regent of Ord Cestus during the Clone Wars.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto encountered her during their mission to undermine the partnership between Cestus Cybernetics and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Duris was a X'Ting, a sentient insectoid life-form native to Ord Cestus. As a X'Ting, Duris' gender cycled between male and female every three years, though it was female during the events described. She was related to the original hive queen, but only tangentially.

G'Mai Duris was also the victim of many attempts to dethrone her from the position of regent by her cousin, Caiza Quill. One attempt included Quill's killing of Filian, Duris' lover, in a formal duel before the Hive Council.
