GWC-04 was a B1 battle droid sent by Trade Federation Viceroy, Nute Gunray to take charge of a Trade Federation outpost on Alaris Prime.

GWC-04 was commanding the Trade Federation outpost when they were attacked by the Wookiees attempting to colonize Alaris Prime, led by Chewbacca, who was attempting to show the Trade Federation that Alaris Prime was not going to be taken from the Wookiees easily. The outpost was destroyed, including every droid in it and GWC-04.
