Gabonna memory crystals were the only data units that ran fast enough to power Class Five battle droids. They were used in Cesta security droids. At the start of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic placed them on restriction. They could store massive amounts of information, and their unique crystalline structure allowed for unprecedented processing power. They glowed a faint blue in appearance, and had geometric fracture lines across there surfaces.

Count Dooku offered Cestus Cybernetics a large sum of these crystals as payment for the production of the Jedi Killer droids.
