The Gado Hill Clans, or Separatists as they were sometimes known, of Abregado-rae were an opposition faction to the reigning Tundei regime during Grand Admiral Thrawn’s bid for galactic conquest in 9 ABY. The regime cut all basic supplies, including food, to the hill clans, leaving them force to rely on smugglers, like Fynn Torve of Talon Karrde's smuggling organization, to survive.
