Galactic Alliance Common Charter

The Galactic Alliance Common Charter was the supreme law of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances that laid out its processes and political mechanisms.
When the New Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, the New Republic Common Charter underwent several major changes into the Galactic Alliance Common Charter. This new constitution, with increased checks and balances and a new federal structure, strove to correct many of the flaws of the previous government.
Most likely the Galactic Alliance Remnant kept the constitution alive by adopting it during the Sith regime.
