The First Fleet of the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet was one of the main concentrations of Alliance warships during the latter portion of the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion. It was formed out of the New Republic First Battle Group.

Under the command of Admiral Traest Kre'fey, the First Fleet was stationed at Dac. The First Fleet was a major component of the Alliance Liberation of Coruscant.

A decade later, the First once again found itself on the front lines of conflict. Now under the command of Bothan Admiral Nek Bwua'tu aboard the Welmo Darb, the First was combined with the Sixth Fleet and fought in the weeks-long Battle of Kuat.
