Galactic Alliance Second Fleet

The Second Fleet of the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet was one of the four Alliance fleets during the latter portion of the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion. It was formed out of the New Republic Second Battle Group.
Under the command of General Garm Bel Iblis, the fleet was active in the Core Worlds, liberating Corulag from the Yuuzhan Vong during the Battle of Corulag. The Second Fleet also participated in the Liberation of Coruscant. With the establishment of the Fifth Fleet following the war, several of the Second Fleet's more veteran ships and crews were attached to the new fleet, including the Mon Mothma.
In the years following the end of the Vong war, the Second Fleet made an annual run up and down the route of the Vong invasion path, searching for any holdouts. During the Second Galactic Civil War, a task force of the Second Fleet under Admiral Matric Klauskin participated in an show of force in the Corellian System. When Klauskin was deemed crazy and replaced, Tarla Limpan took over his position as leader of the Second Fleet.
The Second Fleet was destroyed in an ambush at the Corellian system by a repulsor blast from the reactivated Centerpoint Station, destroying every ship in the fleet and killing all hands.

In 40 ABY, the Second Fleet included cruisers, carriers, destroyers, frigates, and hundreds of support ships and fighters, among which were assault shuttles, X-wings, E-wings, Aleph-class starfighters, and Eta-5 interceptors.
