The Galactic Alliance Special Forces were the military special operations unit of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force, specifically part of the Galactic Alliance Army. They were formed from the New Republic Special Forces.
During the Second Galactic Civil War members of the 967 Commandos were combined with members of the Coruscant Security Force and the Galactic Alliance Intelligence Service to form the Galactic Alliance Guard.
In 44 ABY, Special Forces troopers unknowingly chased members of Wraith Squadron for heisting a military transport. During the resulting fight, several, troopers were killed.
