The Galactic Society of Recording Artists was a group that managed the collection of royalties due to be paid to its members for the performance of their music by other entertainers. C-3PO, a 3PO-series protocol droid with access to a myriad of songs for playback in his memory core, factored in these royalties when determining if he could earn enough money for passage off the planet of Nim Drovis with his counterpart, an astromech droid designated R2-D2, in 13 ABY.
