This opera house was favored by Palpatine over the Coruscant Opera House frequented by his predecessor.
A pivotal meeting between Anakin Skywalker and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was held here, in which Palpatine told Anakin the story of Darth Plagueis the Wise and brought Anakin a step closer to joining the Sith. During this meeting, important dignitaries watched an acrobatic performance by a Mon Calamari group of the opera Squid Lake.
