Gamor was an astronomical object located in the regions known as the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was also situated in the grid square O-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The super-hyperroute[3] known as the Corellian Run connected Gamor to Allanteen VI and Bacrana, and another hyperspace route linked it to[1] the world[4] Aridus.[1] Gamor shared its name with the trade route known as the Gamor Run.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Gamor was introduced in the current Star Wars canon via mention of the Gamor Run in the fourty-third issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[6] which was published around October 28, 2015.[7] It was subsequently identified as a distinct astronomical object by a galactic map in the fifty-second issue,[8] published on approximately December 30, 2015.[9]
The Gamor system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[10] The system subsequently made its first appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[11] over the span of the 2009[12]–2010[13] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series.[12]
