Gannod Chant was a special investigative agent for the New Republic Council on Security and Intelligence and later the Galactic Alliance Security and Intelligence Council. He translated the Wavlud Manuscript in 40 ABY and included his findings in the Jedi knowledge compendium. His findings shed much light on the Darth honorific and its usage by the Sith.
