Garoo were shamans of the Dantari people of Dantooine. Their knowledge was preserved and transferred to their successors by oral repetition. Some of the more knowledgeable Garoo retained information about the original Jedi outpost on Dantooine. Maga was a Garoo encountered by Mammon Hoole and Zak and Tash Arranda.
