Gateway was the main complex of SELCORE's efforts to lodge displaced refegees on Duro during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Constructed upon the ruins of Tayana, the domed structure was located below one of the twenty orbital stations housed in the planet's orbit. Constantly quarreling with Settlement 32, they were bickering over supplies non-stop.

When evacuation orders came down, three land crawlers carrying refugees were destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong.
