Gem Sirrom was a human senator of the Galactic Republic's Senate, where Sirrom was an ally of fellow Senator Padmé Amidala.[1] Shortly after the end of the Clone Wars[2] in 19 BBY,[3] Sirrom took part in Amidala's funeral procession, walking behind the coffin with a group of other senators as it passed through[2] the city Theed on the planet Naboo. Sirrom wore a red dress to the funeral and had light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Gem Sirrom appeared in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[2] The funeral scene that featured the character was filmed at Fox Studios, Sydney on September 16, 2003.[4] Earlier in the film,[2] an Opera House patron played by Jill Brooks[5] can be seen wearing the same outfit as Sirrom.[2]

In the current Star Wars canon, Sirrom was identified in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.[1] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in an entry for the character in the StarWars.com Databank, which had been published by 2010.[6]
