Genndy Tartakovsky was the director of Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. His best known works outside of Star Wars are the animated shows Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, and the recent Sym-Bionic Titan.
The alien species Gen'Dai is named after his first name. The name of the Wookiee Tarkov comes from his last name and Tarkov's son Jaccoba from Tartakovsky's son Jacob.
