Gerrard V was a planet in the Core Worlds. It was represented in the Imperial Senate by Senator Chelo.

The planet was populated by Rebel supporters, who led an uprising against the Empire some time before the Battle of Yavin after the Declaration of Rebellion. However, the rebellion was crushed by Imperial Star Destroyer orbital bombardments and ground assaults. After that most of the suppliers and troops joined the Alliance. The bombardments killed many people and damaged the ecosystem.
After the Battle of Yavin, Moff Kohl Seerdon used his yachts to pillage Gerrard V's major cities in the Galactic Civil War, noticing the population was attempting to gain its independence again. The Second Battle of Gerrard V was staged between Rogue Squadron and the 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron. Rogue Squadron eventually liberated the planet, and gained a new member in the process - Kasan Moor, a former TIE/In starfighter pilot herself.
