Gerrenthum was a planet along the Corellian Trade Spine and the capital of the Anoat sector.
History
Edit
It was from Gerrenthum, 400 years before the Battle of Yavin, that Lord Ecclessis Figg plumbed the depths of the Twin Nebulae and blazed the Lutrillian Cross and Nothoiin Corridor. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, its fortuitous location at the junction of three important hyperspace routes led Gerrenthum to grow from a sleepy Outer Rim planet into a modern megaworld.
It was surrounded by thousands of nav beacons that outlined the corridors off and on the planet, and thousands of starships passed through the spaceports of Gerrenthum every hour. Gerrenthum was also the headquarters of the various Figg corporations, including Figg & Associates, Figg Excavations, and the Outer Javin Company. Planetary security was tight for members and friends of the Figg family.
