Gholondreine-β was a waterworld and member of the Galactic Republic.

Its populace was reluctant to implement the changes of the New Order. As punishment, Palpatine had all the water stripped from the world and taken to Coruscant. The dying desert world was subsequently abandoned as the inhabitants moved to nearby systems.

Shortly before the Battle of Endor, Boba Fett and Bossk met on the desert world and agreed to team up in the hunt for Trhin Voss'on't.
